Borussia Dortmund Advance to Champions League Quarterfinals

Jadon Sancho and Marco Reus Score in 2-0 Victory Over PSV Eindhoven

Borussia Dortmund secured their place in the Champions League quarterfinals with a 2-0 victory over PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night. Jadon Sancho and Marco Reus scored the goals for the hosts, who advanced with a 3-1 aggregate scoreline.

Dortmund dominated possession from the start and created a number of chances in the first half. However, they were unable to find the back of the net until Sancho broke the deadlock in the 37th minute. The England international collected a pass from Reus on the left wing and fired a low shot into the bottom corner.

Dortmund doubled their lead in the 57th minute when Reus converted a penalty after Mario Götze was fouled in the area. The German international sent PSV goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet the wrong way with a powerful spot-kick.

PSV had a few chances to get back into the game, but they were unable to find a way past Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Bürki. The hosts held on to their lead to secure a comfortable victory and a place in the next round.
