Early Life and Education

Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton was born on October 26, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in Park Ridge, a suburb of Chicago, where her father worked as a fabric retailer and her mother was a homemaker.

Clinton excelled in her studies, earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Wellesley College in 1969 and a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School in 1973.

Political Career

Clinton began her political career as a staff attorney for the Children's Defense Fund in 1973. In 1975, she married Bill Clinton, who later became the 42nd President of the United States.
